Submit Your Safety Video Today

July 7, 2015

By the Safety Team

The Safety Team is once again producing videos with comments about Safety and what it means to each of us. One fantastic addition this year is that we would like you to help us source these videos using your own device and with people that you know and love. How exciting would it be for some of us to have our kids record a video on what safety means to them and how important it is that at the end of the day you come home safe? A Consent Waiver is required for those who wish to participate. The videos were a huge success last year and we look forward to greater things this year!

These videos will be shown at breaks during the Wednesday working session and the conference. We are looking for a fresh perspective on what safety means to everyone. Feel free to interview children for their take on safety. As a point on inspiration, review videos produced by the Jubilee Project. You may be surprised at a young child’s response to the same questions when compared to that of an adult. For example, an adult may say safety means wearing proper PPE and a child may say safety means holding Mom or Dad’s hand when crossing the street. The videos should answer one of the questions below. Ensure your video(s) meet the guidelines prior to submitting.

Questions:

  1. Why behave safely?

  2. Why should you be safe?

  3. What is safety?

  4. Why do we have safety rules?

  5. Or you can make up a safety question of your own to ask!

Guidelines:

  1. Keep videos submissions under 2 minutes.

  2. Submit videos with video Consent Waiver. The video consent form must be provided for all interviewees.

  3. To remain consistent with the ECC message of open thought leadership, no company names or logos will be allowed in the video.

  4. Answer only one question per video. You may submit multiple videos if you choose.

  5. Videos shall be submitted by July 15, 2015.

  6. Videos shall be sent to the following using Hightail:

  7. https://www.hightail.com/

    • Hightail’s free version will allow you to send one file at a time

    • You do not have to give your credit card info to use the free version (they will try to get you to sign up for a trial of the pro version but this is not necessary!)
